What I've Been Watching — March & April 2026
A personal curation from Nishat

Hey everyone,
I’ve been down a rabbit hole the past two months — AI side hustles, the slow death of social media, an 18-year-old who sold his app for $50M, and some genuinely bizarre stuff about Oprah. I figured I’d put it all in one place so you don’t have to stumble on it yourself.
Here’s what’s been on my screen.
💰 Money, business & the creator world
This has been my biggest obsession lately. The rules around building an audience and making money from it are changing fast — and some of these videos got into the specifics better than any article I’ve read.
How I Sold A $1,000,000 Idea To MrBeast Someone pitched a video idea cold, got it made, and got paid a million dollars. The mechanics of how that deal worked are worth knowing. Watch the Video
The Quiet Rise of $1M Knowledge Creators Not the usual “build a course” advice. This one looks at a specific wave of people turning expertise into income without needing a huge following first. Watch the Video
The Simplest Way To Make $1M In 2026 I was skeptical of the title. I wasn’t by the end. Watch the Video
The Education Business: How EdTech Makes Millions by Selling Hopes A cold look at why online education works as a business even when it doesn’t work for students. Watch the Video
I became a full-time YouTuber in 24 months (here’s how) Less inspirational fluff than the title suggests. Actual specifics on what the 24 months looked like. Watch the Video
🤖 AI — the stuff actually worth knowing
I went deep on AI this month, specifically on people building with it rather than just talking about it.
The 18 y/o Who Built & Sold a $50M AI App Zach Yadegari built Cal AI at 18 and sold it for millions. The story itself is wild but the interview breaks down how he actually did it. Watch the Video
Zach Yadegari: Selling Cal AI for millions at 18-years-old A second interview with Zach — different angle, more detail on the business side. Watch the Video
I Built a $10K/Month AI Agent Step-by-step breakdown of what the agent does and how it was built. Practical, not theoretical. Watch the Video
I Trained My Own AI… It beat ChatGPT The claim sounds exaggerated. What’s actually interesting is how accessible training a small model has become. Watch the Video
📱 Social media, internet culture & what’s going wrong
This section is where I ended up going “oh no” several times.
Social Media Is Dead Not a rant — a methodical case for why the social media era as we knew it is over, and what might come next. Watch the Video
The Internet Era Nobody Asked For Goes after the current state of the internet with more precision than most hot takes. Worth watching just for the framing. Watch the Video
I Fixed YouTube! One person’s attempt to rebuild what YouTube should look like. More thoughtful than it sounds. Watch the Video
The Pathetic Life of an Internet “Alpha Male” A takedown that earns its title. Doesn’t punch down — it dissects. Watch the Video
Yikes. I’m not going to say more than that. Just watch it. Watch the Video
🎬 Film & pop culture
A mix of things I’d been meaning to watch and things I fell into.
Oprah is NOT Who You Think She is.. A proper investigative breakdown. Changed how I see a lot of things I thought I already understood. Watch the Video
Celebrities Going Completely Unrecognized in Public! Light but genuinely fun. Good palette cleanser. Watch the Video
MrBeast Rewatches His YouTube Videos | Vanity Fair Watching someone critically review their own old work is more interesting than it sounds. He’s very self-aware. Watch the Video
The Housemaid (2025) Full Movie Recap If you haven’t watched the film and want to know what the hype was about — this recap covers it well. Watch the Video
Instagram REELS Are Ruining Movie Choreography A specific, well-argued case for something I’d noticed but couldn’t articulate. Watch the Video
🌍 One geopolitical deep-dive
Iran’s REVENGE: How America BETRAYED Iran and turned it into a DEVIL? Long. Dense. But one of the clearest explanations I’ve seen of how the US-Iran relationship actually fell apart — starting from the 1953 coup through to now. Watch the Video
💡 One more worth mentioning
The curious case of Warren Buffett Not your typical “here’s how Buffett invests” video. It goes into the stranger, less-talked-about parts of his story. Watch the Video
🏠 The one that stuck with me most this month
3D Printed Houses Were Supposed To Fix the Housing Crisis. Here’s Why They Didn’t. The pitch was always compelling: print homes fast, print them cheap, solve the crisis. This video goes through exactly where that promise ran into reality — zoning laws, material costs, the gap between a prototype and a scalable product. Sad but necessary watching. Watch the Video
That’s the lot. If one of these leads you somewhere interesting, let me know — I’m always looking for what to watch next.
